John Pawson shows Barrocal house at the Design Museum

The Design Museum is celebrating John Pawson’s career to date in architecture with an exhibition that highlights the house John designed for Barrocal. It includes a beautiful model of plot 12 and a Q&A video on designing for site featuring Tyler Brûlé. What struck me the most, in an overall graceful exhibition, was the quality of the prints (Dusseldorf made) and the beauty of the construction materials displayed – the Douglas fir floor planks from Dinesen are astonishing, never seen anything quite like it.
