On August 13th São Lourenço do Barrocal will hold its first festival!
We will be celebrating the saint who lends its name to our hotel: Saint Lawrence (São Lourenço), patron saint of cooks.

A very special dinner will be taking part during the festival. It will taste like Summer and the Alentejo, offering you the chance to experience regional cheeses and black pork charcuterie, starters and light salads, all entirely made with products from local farms. Artisan bread baked in a wood-fired oven, from next door village Baldio, will not be missed. Our olive oil and olives, seasoned with wild herbs, will not be missed either.

The highlight of the event will take place on the communal grill, located outside the restaurant, in which meats will be roasted. All accompanied by our wines. There will also be juices, traditional homemade drinks, water and coffee. To sweeten the dinner, we will offer some desserts to make your mouth water and lots of fresh fruit.

Throughout the festival, you can dance to live jazz music, take the children to visit the farm animals and discover the products of our farm store, since it will pop up outside during the event.
